Dr Harriet Turnbull

Dr Harriet Turnbull is a General Practitioner and specialist in Aesthetic Medicine, with a decade of experience in the field.

Harriet graduated with honours from Brighton and Sussex Medical School in 2014 before completing her postgraduate medical training in London. She qualified as a General Practitioner in 2019, alongside developing her specialist interest in aesthetic medicine.

Her journey into aesthetics began during GP training, when she undertook advanced training and completed the Level 7 Diploma in Aesthetic Medicine. What initially drew Harriet to the field was the opportunity to combine medicine, technical precision and an understanding of anatomy with something more personal: helping people feel confident and comfortable in how they look.

She went on to practise at the prestigious Melior Clinics on Harley Street and has now worked in aesthetic medicine for 10 years, treating over 1,000 patients. Alongside her clinical practice, Harriet has spent many years training doctors, dentists and other medical professionals at Derma Medical, helping to educate the next generation of aesthetic practitioners.

She believes the best aesthetic treatments are subtle, considered and difficult to detect. Her aim isn’t to change a patient’s face or chase an unrealistic idea of perfection, but to understand what is bothering them and use her medical expertise to help them look fresher, healthier and more confident.

As both a GP and an aesthetic doctor, she brings a strongly medical and evidence-led approach to every consultation. Dr Harriet is highly experienced across injectable medicine, including treatments for medical conditions such as migraine, bruxism and hyperhidrosis alongside aesthetic work. Her two named areas of special interest are the delicate eye area, known as periocular rejuvenation, and natural lip enhancement.

Both are areas where technique matters more than product. The under eye is one of the most requested treatment areas and among the least forgiving, and she treats it using combination approaches drawing on dermal fillers, polynucleotides, and specialised amino acid, hyaluronic acid and vitamin combinations rather than reaching for filler by default.

Dr Harriet is a member of the British College of Aesthetic Medicine, a body open only to doctors and dentists on a statutory register. She is also a member of the ACE Group, the UK clinical network for the recognition and management of injectable complications.

She is an experienced international trainer in aesthetic medicine. At Derma Medical, an international aesthetic training academy, she has spent many years training doctors, dentists and other medical professionals, and teaches regularly in London and in the United States. That work is focused on raising standards across the industry.

She uses Teoxane dermal fillers, selected for technology that mimics the skin’s own hyaluronic acid so results move naturally with the face. All injectable products used are prescription-only medicines or CE-marked medical devices, and every treatment is preceded by a thorough consultation covering medical history, facial anatomy and realistic outcomes. She practises under GMC Good Medical Practice standards.
