Dr Harriet Turnbull

Dr Harriet Turnbull graduated from Brighton and Sussex Medical School with honours in 2014, before completing her specialist training in London. She has been a fully qualified General Practitioner since 2019.

During her GP training she began training in aesthetic medicine and completed her Level 7 Diploma in the field. Finding real enjoyment in helping patients look and feel their best, she went on to work at the prestigious Melior Clinics on Harley Street for many years. She has now been practising aesthetic medicine for ten years, and has treated over 1,000 patients.

What drew her to it was her own experience of treatment, and seeing how much of a difference small changes can make to how someone feels about themselves. It is all about looking and feeling better in your own skin.

Her passion is for natural results, helping patients look effortlessly fresh rather than treated. She draws on her experience as a GP for a genuinely patient-centred approach, listening to concerns and goals before building a treatment plan around your skin rather than around a menu.

The philosophy is refinement rather than exaggeration. Treatments are carefully tailored to enhance your natural features, and she is obsessive about delivering the best outcomes for her patients with meticulous attention to detail. Where she thinks a patient does not need treatment yet, or that what they want is not achievable, she says so.

Dr Harriet is highly experienced across injectable medicine, including treatments for medical conditions such as migraine, bruxism and hyperhidrosis alongside aesthetic work. Her two named areas of special interest are the delicate eye area, known as periocular rejuvenation, and natural lip enhancement.

Both are areas where technique matters more than product. The under eye is one of the most requested treatment areas and among the least forgiving, and she treats it using combination approaches drawing on dermal fillers, polynucleotides, and specialised amino acid, hyaluronic acid and vitamin combinations rather than reaching for filler by default.

Dr Harriet is a member of the British College of Aesthetic Medicine, a body open only to doctors and dentists on a statutory register. She is also a member of the ACE Group, the UK clinical network for the recognition and management of injectable complications.

She is Global Chief Medical Officer at Derma Medical, an international aesthetic training academy, where she has taught for many years and teaches regularly in London and in the United States. That work is focused on raising standards across the industry.

She uses Teoxane dermal fillers, selected for technology that mimics the skin’s own hyaluronic acid so results move naturally with the face. All injectable products used are prescription-only medicines or CE-marked medical devices, and every treatment is preceded by a thorough consultation covering medical history, facial anatomy and realistic outcomes. She practises under GMC Good Medical Practice standards.

After treatment, detailed aftercare instructions are provided. These may include avoiding strenuous exercise, alcohol and excessive heat exposure for a short period, and the specific advice varies with the treatment and the area treated.
